You trust your GPS, don't you?

I don't drive, but if I did, I'm pretty sure I'd trust my GPS if I didn't know where I was going.
I remember the first time I took the MTA bus. I was with my sister, and neither of us knew how it worked; it was our first time on a public bus in the U.S. When we initially got on, we had asked the driver to let us know when he got to the town we lived in, so once I heard him yell out that we were now there, I grabbed my sister and jumped off, thinking that was the only stop he would make. I had just started living in the area, so once I recognized a building where we dropped off, I thought we had done it right. The only problem was that it was at the T-junction and I recognized both the road to the left and the road to the right. My sister and I went back and forth at least 3 times in both directions before I went into a nearby store to connect to their wifi and use a map, and by then, we had already wasted at least 45 minutes trying to figure it out on our own, but once we used the map, it got us home without having to wander around the whole town.
Life is just like that. We might think we know where we're going or what we're doing, but the truth is that most times, we don't, and we end up wasting time, energy, resources, and talents. That is exactly why we need a GPS, and as Christians, we already have one, the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, it's not that easy for a lot of people, myself included, to just follow the directions the Spirit gives us. But if we trust manmade GPS to guide us to our destination, why can't we trust God, who knows the end from the beginning, to guide us through life. Why do we question what the Holy Spirit tells us to do when we don't question the GPS that tells us to turn right? This is what I'm working on, maybe you should too. Peace and love of Christ be with you!
