The Darkroom

Hi!

Hello!

I feel the need to say hi again because it's been so long.

Hi!

Words cannot even describe how grateful I am to be back here. It's been tough, but God has kept me going as He has you. I'm so thankful for all the people He's used to encourage me in this. Here is a word from my mum. I hope you are blessed by it!

.

This earth is ever-revolving, which means that when it is dark in one hemisphere, there will be light in another. While one person is experiencing midnight maybe the person just suffered the death of a loved one, another is rejoicing because daybreak has finally come for them with the conception of a long-awaited baby. The nighttime experience is one of the things that come with life even as a Christian.

Many others in the Bible faced situations such as this, and the Lord used it both to bring glory to His name and to help them grow.

Esther 4:16:

"Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish."

Daniel 3:17-18:

"Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered, “Your Majesty, we will not try to defend ourselves. If the God whom we serve is able to save us from the blazing furnace and from your power, then he will. But even if he doesn't, Your Majesty may be sure that we will not worship your god, and we will not bow down to the gold statue that you have set up.” "

Acts 16:16-40

At midnight, while the other prisoners slept, Paul and Silas sang praises to God and He delivered them from their nighttime experience.

I hope you notice the common thread here: faith. This kind of faith is radical, determined, tenacious, relentless, and provoking. It is a faith that does not give up. When it is backed into a corner, it stands its ground, firm, unmovable and unshakeable, and declares, “though I have lost my wife and child in childbearing, my house is burnt down by fire, my mortgage is overdue, my symptoms don’t look good at all, I still believe and trust in God." You tell yourself that, proclaiming Psalm 23:4, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” That is the kind of faith that is unshakeable, it gets results every time!

Now, those results don't necessarily come in the way you want them to. Faith is not a guarantee that God will do your bidding, it is His will that prevails. Just as Esther said, "if I perish I perish," and the Hebrew boys, "we will not bow to the golden statue." Yet, no matter the physical outcome, the peace and presence of God are with you throughout that time.

God works the night shift with us (the darkest point in our lives). He will never let us do the night shift alone, and He will turn that darkness into light if only we just keep trusting Him.

God’s “darkroom” is where He develops you into the image of Christ, only trust in Him Totally and completely.

Peace and love of Christ be with you!!
