I am that I am

I am that I am. That is my favorite name for God. I don't know, it kinda reminds me of rich people that don't make noise about their wealth. There are like a billion other names for God (okay, that might be an over exagerration), but there are so many names much fancier, and they're beautiful as well. This particular name, however, is so simple, "I am that I am," there's nothing too fancy about it. I think it really captures, as best as human words can, the essence of God's greatness. It's like, He doesn't even need an introduction, an "identifiable name" or any descriptions, He's so great that you know who he is without being told. Like really think about it. That was the name God told to Moses in Exodus 3 to tell the Isrealites who were slaves in Egypt at the time if they asked who sent Him.
"God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”"
I don't really know, but whenever I hear or say that name, especially when I worship, I pause just to reflect on it for a second and really take in what it means, at least to me, which I've just shared. I think it's something we should all do because it actually makes you worship more.
Peace and love of Christ be with you all!!!
