Forgive freely

I don't know if it's just me, but a lot of times, I try to remain angry with people, especially my elder sister when she annoys me. I would want to say something to her, or laugh at a joke she cracked, but I'd always catch myself just in time to remind myself that I'm supposed to be angry with her.
Many times, it's not that we really want to hold a grudge against that person, but we just want them to realize how upset they had made us, at least that's usually my motive with my sister, because I feel like if I'm not really angry with her, she might think I'm not being serious.
But it's important to realize that being angry wouldn't ensure that the person really knows how you feel about the situation, and holding a grudge is much more detrimental to you. You're not free to enjoy the person's company, or enlist his/her help when you need it. Generally, you'll find that you're not at peace. And worst, unforgiveness is a SIN!!!
In the Bible, Jesus tells us to forgive others in multiple verses and I'm sure we all know that we're supposed to, but it's difficult a lot of the time. So, a way to go about it is to remember all the times you were forgiven by other people, but more importantly, by God. Imagine if God decided to hold grudges against anyone who angered Him, we would all be dead!
Once again, if you're holding a grudge as a way of communicating your hurt, a more effective way to do so is to speak directly to the person.
So, forgive freely, just like your Heavenly father forgives you. Peace and love of Christ be with you all!
