Changing the World, One Heart at a Time

Everybody has at least one thing they wish could be changed about our society, whether it be one or more of the countless issues of injustice or just the fact that you can't get a driver's license till you're a certain age. We all want to change the world, and that's valid, except we don't know how to. Or rather, we know, but just won't accept it.

Just like with every huge problem or major goal, the best path to success is by breaking it up into bite-size chunks. Our society is made up of people, so to change the world, we need to change the people in it. Unfortunately, we can't just change others, so we each have to be responsible for our own selves. We have to focus on changing ourselves, changing our hearts. The truth is that we all already know this, but we don't like being told that we're the problem.

Remember that what you sow is what you reap, so if we want to live in a society filled with love, peace, kindness, goodness, and all those wonderful virtues, we need to be sowing them into our everyday lives through our thoughts, words, and actions. You can't want to live in a beautiful orchid and be planting poison ivy, it just doesn't make sense.

Then there's the golden rule too from Matthew 7:12, "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." You see, Jesus is a genius, that is why He already knew this and was so focused on trying to get us to change our hearts. So, today and every day, whatever fruits you want to see around you, sow those seeds. Peace and love of Christ be with you all!
