A New Year's Verse to live by

I don't know how many of you still write out or come up with new year's resolutions, I don't anymore. I now prefer a New Year's verse to live by, and I've decided to share mine with you.
"Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ." (1 Cor. 11:1)
The key to a New Year's verse to live by is that it should be simple and short, memorable too like a mantra, something you can constantly remind yourself of and something that resides permanently in your mind, not some long list of things you forget all about before March.
Second key: you have to have your own interpretation of it that practically applies to your life. Let me share mine with you. I had some conflict last year (2020) in terms of decision making, so this verse is something to help me with that this year. I'll be following Jesus' example. The second interpretation is to live under scrutiny. Basically, I'm pretending that I'm the one writing that verse to the "Corinthians," not Paul. If I'm inviting people to follow my example, I have to be living an exemplary life, and the way to do that, once again, is to follow Jesus' example.
I've shared with you my verse to live by for 2021, now you prayerfully find a verse, or verses if you'd like, and make sure to live by it. Ask God for help with that because you and I both know that we can't do it without Him. Have a blessed new year and may the peace and love of Christ be with you all.
